Author; Eimear Chaomhánach

Eimear Chaomhánach offers a uniquely personal and scholarly take on Irish folklore. Originally from Dublin, she grew up in a beekeeping household, where she spent decades supporting her father's work—collecting swarms and harvesting honey. Her academic journey in Irish Folklore at UCD (both undergraduate and postgraduate) deeply informs her writing and storytelling.

Drawing from her rich upbringing and rigorous research, Eimear now brings her expertise to life in literature and the arts. She has worked in Ireland’s arts and heritage sectors for over twenty years and currently serves as a board member of The Stinging Fly literary magazine.
